Dr. Eric Rachlin

Eric has a Ph.D in nanoscale computing from Brown University, where he also received his undergraduate degree in Applied Math and Computer Science. After completing his PhD thesis in 2010, Eric worked with MPI Director Michael Black on learning highly accurate 3D body models from 2D and 3D data. As a senior research scientist at the MPI for Intelligent System, Eric helped manage a team of computer vision researchers, collectively working together to build the world’s most accurate statistical model of human pose and shape.
