Stacey Nelkin
Stacey Nelkin was born and raised in NYC and began acting professionally at 14, as a way to escape her dysfunctional home.
She began working steadily and at the age of 17 began dating Woody Allen, who had cast her in Annie Hall. After 2 years, she ended it and was flown to LA to work on a film where she stayed for 16 years.
She has starred in films, mini-series, TV movies and guest starred on many episodic TV shows. Her first two marriages lasted about 3 years each and she has now been married for 20 years, citing their friendship and lack of possessiveness as the key to staying together. They have 3 children together – the youngest was adopted from China.
She co-wrote a book with a therapist about relationships and appeared on many TV shows and news shows as a relationship and parenting expert. She got certified in the Creative Arts field and interned at New York Presbyterian Hospital for a year and then trained to become a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor.
