Sarah Ortega
Sarah Ortega, CLE, CLC, IBCLC, has lived in the Reno/Tahoe area for almost 30 years, and has been in the lactation field for ten years. She has four children. She had very different experiences with each. These experiences have allowed her to empathize with patients in a variety of ways. She started her journey in lactation after the birth of her youngest son. She has been practicing hands on care for approximately eight years. She worked for six years in outpatient lactation care for WIC. She partnered with a well renowned pediatrician in the Reno/Tahoe area for seven years offering outpatient lactation support for families at 3-days and 14-days post birth, as well as follow up appointments as needed. She currently works for Women’s Health, Breastfeeding Medicine at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV. Here she sees babies at any age, from discharge to weaning. She also works with a doula service, All Bases Covered Childbirth Services, offering in home consultations.
