Charleen’s love of people, commitment to service & relationships, personal values & advocacy for the universal right to health inspires her & guides her future work in building an equitable, culturally safe health system fostering dignity & humanity. Humbled by the value Inuit place on relationships, harmony with animals & the earth, Charleen attributes her work with Inuit as one of the largest influences. From the people she’s cared for, learned from, worked with & the stories she’s had the privilege of being told, to the majestic land she’s traversed & lived on, she carries these gifts forward as the value of humanity compels Charleen to continue to advance values-based leadership in Canada’s healthcare system.
