Hank Ortiz
Mr. Ortiz is the President, CEO and Co-Founder of Cognetive Systems, a leading developer of software for the Green Industry. Mr. Ortiz is very active in all aspects of the company spending most of his time working with customers and ensuring that the company's software products are staying ahead of industry needs and expectations, ArborNote Software is the company's most recent software product and has been in use for 7 years. During this time, ArborNote Software has become the most widely used business management software in the tree care industry. Mr. Ortiz is the co-author of several patents in applied wireless sensor technology. Outside of work, Mr. Ortiz spends the balance of his time with his wife and their two children ages 7 and 9. Mr Ortiz is very active as an assistance coach and team manager for his children's youth sports teams. When not at practice or games, the Ortiz family spends their time mountain biking or visiting the local beaches. Mr. Ortiz met his wife in Germany where he lived for 5 years. During that time he became fluent in German and started the European operations for his employer at the time opening sales and manufacturing operations in Germany and Romania. Mr. Ortiz has a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the California State University in San Bernardino CA, and is also a UC Master Gardener.
