Paula Marshall became CEO of the Bama Companies, her family’s business, in 1984, and has been honored with the Malcolm Baldrige Award. She has grown the large scale baked goods manufacturer, from 1 to 5 plants. Bama’s customers include McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Wal-Mart. Her new book, Finding the Soul of Big Business, deals with changing the American business model to incorporate more humanistic processes and trust in the workplace.
