Tamara Thompson
A licensed private investigator since 1989, Tamara Thompson is featured in today’s show due to her specialization in genealogical investigations, fact-gathering through Internet sources, and identifying & finding birthmothers & siblings for adoptees. Tamara has presented seminars to legal associations on effective use of search engines, social networking sites and information databases to locate & profile people. She has had several articles published in Law Technology News and was profiled in the front page article, Privacy Predicaments Catch Gumshoe’s Eye in the Contra Costa Times. Tamara holds a BA in Intellectual History. Her popular blog, PIbuzz.com, gives pointers to investigators, journalists and the general public on researching information. A member of the CA Assoc of Licensed Investigators (CALI), Tamara is the editor of the CALI Journal, is a member of the National Council of Investigation & Security Services as well as the Assoc of Independent Information Professionals.
