Mental wellness is defined as a state of emotional and psychological well-being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life. Unfortunately, caring for someone you love when they have cancer is no ordinary demand, but it can become a part of your everyday life. In honor of National Mental Wellness Month this January, we want to focus on improving the state of mental wellness in an often overlooked group of people who are part of the cancer journey—the caregiver.
