Episode Description

Do you turn to food as a substitute for what you really need? In this episode, Andrea Lieberstein, registered dietitian nutritionist and mindfulness expert, talks about the importance of "what we bring to the table." Do you eat for reasons other than nourishment? Most of us do, and the consequences are usually undesirable. Author of "Well Nourished: Mindful Practices to Heal Your Relationship to Food, Feed Your Whole Self and End Overeating," Lieberstein guides us toward a healthier relationship to food by understanding the importance of mindfulness meditation practices. Together, we will explore: * how to identify our eating triggers; * how to manage emotional and stress related eating; * the distinction between inner and outer nourishment practices; * how compassion, gratitude, and appreciation foster a well-nourished life. The benefits of mindful eating await you!
