January 26, 2018
Hosted by Rick A. Morris
Rick will interview Nichole Tubiolo, one of the 12 co-authors of the Amazon #1 Best Selling Agile Almanac – Book 2. We are a few weeks into the New Year, at this point Companies are getting started on Project and Portfolio goals for 2018. Rick mentioned in his Agile trends podcast that one key difference in Agile vs Waterfall is that the earlier phases of a waterfall project are greatly reduced when Agile Methodology is used thus increasing the speed to value. Nichole is seeing mid to large sized companies are working to grow the percentage of projects that are managed using Agile Methodologies specifically to reduce the amount of time spent in these early phases, get to execution sooner thus increasing their speed to value and potentially reducing project costs. Nichole will be discussing her input into this groundbreaking book. Specifically she will discuss shifting the focus on funding teams (not deliverables), having a solid governance model, and much more!

Our program is designed for many types of individuals. Executives gain valuable insight into some of the largest issues facing their business. Employees learn how to influence without power. Team members learn how to associate and get along better with their teams. Even non-business people will learn many things about themselves and how they view life so that they can adjust the areas that need adjusting. Each week we cover goals and goal setting and learn how to break down large problems into small achievable wins. We also share tips on managing people without the normal tools of an HR manager. I hope you gain a powerful perspective while enjoying the show. Our topics are much like the career of a project manager: wide ranging with unlimited potential.
