China’s GDP has grown 30x from 1990 to 2017, and the annual per capita income of urban households has increased 22x within the past 27 years. Chinese consumers have a lot more disposable income to spend and their needs and purchasing behaviors have evolved. On the other hand, China’s population structure has changed with the aging population ratio growing rapidly. The population of 60-year old and above reached 220 million in 2015, counted as 16.1% of the total population. This has created tremendous opportunities in healthcare products and services that can slow down the aging process, reduce the health impact from aging, maintain and improve health condition, and keep a good quality of life. The 505 Group is a Chinese enterprise has focuses on this segment since 1988 and has built a well-known consumer brand in China. She brings over 20 years US-China experience in industry and helps American organizations learn the China market and culture, enter and grow business in China, and vice versa. In addition, Michelle is a business and leadership coach specializing in helping leaders and professionals grow their business and achieve their career goals. She is also a management and marketing consultant and trainer for Microsoft, a board of director at Washington State China Relations Council, and an advisor for several startups. She is passionate about education and have been leading and volunteering in NGOs to make a difference in people’s life through education. She is a public speaker in the U.S. Speaker program and frequently speaks in China. In addition, she publishes a weekly podcast program and authors articles in Chinese introducing America to the Chinese audience.

Michelle has worked in Microsoft, HP, EMC, IDC and in Chinese companies and startups. She has an MBA and Master of Science in Finance degree, as well as a Professional Coaching certification.
