So many changes in NYC real estate in 2019 the mansion tax, the proliferation of listings platforms, a softening of the luxury market, a proposed cap on rental commissions and sweeping new rent regulations to name a few. Additionally several major real estate players are looking to get out of New York. Gary Barnett, Michael Stern and Steve Witkoff are among the developers who have been looking beyond the city in the wake of the new rent laws, transfer taxes, mansion tax increase and an overall political shift locally and in our federal government. Where will this all end? With recent figures showing the median apartment sale price in Manhattan and the median home sale price in Brooklyn at around dollor 785,000, owning a home in the city or upgrading to a larger one is out of reach for many New Yorkers. But a weekend house in the Hudson Valley, an hour or two north of the city, can be surprisingly affordable in comparison. We have an agent expert from that area to discuss with us.

I became interested in a real estate career in the mid-1990s while buying and selling Manhattan co-ops and condos for my own personal real estate projects (renovating and selling), and found it to be an exciting industry. I decided to make Real Estate a full time profession and I've never looked back.
