In this episode Zach is joined by Dr. Amy Baxter, former emergency pediatrician and pain researcher and founder of of Pain Care Labs, a noninvasive pain relief device company. Dr. Baxter will be explaining the high opioid prescription rates has contributed to the opioid epidemic. She'll also give insight into what her company, Pain Care Labs, is doing to reduce or eliminate the need for opioid pain management. Following Dr. Baxter Zach is joined by Jac Charlier, the Executive Director and co-founder of the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative (PTACC), and the Executive Director of TASC’s Center for Health and Justice (CHJ). He will will touch on the practices of deflection and pre-arrest diversion, and how he created a framework for preventing and reducing opioid overdose and death among justice populations.

Zachary Crouch

Zachary Crouch is the National Business Development Manager and former administrator for Landmark Recovery, a Louisville based residential program for drug and alcohol treatment. His background in the treatment field as a counselor includes work with the adolescent, adult and family population. Additionally, he also operated the acute medical detoxification unit for Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. Zachary graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and earned his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2009.
