From a chance meeting in 2016 at a Global Aging Network Conference in Perth, Australia, Jack York and Francis Njuakom's have created something amazing halfway around the globe. it's a story that will surely bring smiles and possibly chills and tears to your eyes. A story of caring, connection and empathy. A story you won't want to miss!!!! This encounter has been the true magic in making a difference in transforming lives and creating a better future for girls, women, elders, their families and communities in Cameroon. From the amazing story of Jacky the goat, named after Jack York of IN2L who donated the first 9 goats to women and elders in Cameroon, to the Dorothy York Senior Center in Cameroon, named after Jack's mother, to the present, Francis Njuakom and CDVTA are changing how elders are cared for and respected in Cameroon. Jack, IN2L, their friends, Front Porch Foundation, WD International, Banko Design, etc have raised well over $100,000 for projects benefitting CDVTA.

Phyllis Ayman, host of Seniors Straight Talk, is a speech and language pathologist, certified dementia practitioner, trainer, and best-selling author who’s dedicated to improving quality life and quality care for older adults in our families, communities and nursing home residents.
