Episode Description

Frances A. Cheever enlisted in the United States Army in 1980 and in 1981 reported for duty to compete Bootcamp. There is a special film that inspired Frances to serve titled “Private Benjamin” and Frances knew then that she was destined to care for and save the lives of others and to work in the Entertainment, Film and Television Industry during and after service. As a US Army Officer, and especially trained Nurse Frances is a Compassionate Leader. At her last duty station, the 79th Sustainment Support Command, Frances completed 32 years of Active Duty and Reserve service with elite accolades. Frances prepared and executed her dreams by sharpening her skills and education as a writer and producer. She is honored to be featured in the artistic mural masterpiece “Freedom of Assembly” by Kent Twitchell which graces the walls at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. She shares that it takes the spirit and will greater than oneself to be resilient and to be able to “handle anything” yet the transition from Camies2Civies out of the Army and into a gainful Civilian life of purpose takes a Tribe of comrades and professionals to aid in the process of healthy retirement. In 2021, Frances served another term out of retirement and donned her US Army uniform and put her own life at risk to serve others. By accepting a role on the US Army 2020 COVID OPS team Frances made history with fellow US Army personnel to help care for the deployed, ill, injured, and wounded service members overseas. Frances is excited that her chief projects bring enlightenment and entertainment into the world to shed light onto the most crucial and controversial issues that can be conquered by unconditional love. Frances will allow us a portal into her life and experiences to give us fuel to persist and coping skills to confront the world’s most detrimental crises such as homelessness, isolation, loneliness and fear. Frances is passionate about alerting veterans and corporations about media and film career opportunities with a “First Look” approach and has successfully helped Heroes get Hired during her portfolio of accomplishments. Her current position as the Director of Operations at the Washington D.C. Chapter of Veterans in Media and Entertainment fulfills her calling to help others succeed.
