Happy Holidays and 600 Radio Broadcasts from Express Yourself! This special holiday program is the 600th broadcast of Express Yourself!® Teen Radio and host Ruhani ushers in the celebration with grace and truths. She starts off the segment recapping her year of 2021, both the tragedies and the triumphs. In segment two, she brings on producer of Express Yourself!® and Executive Director of Be the Star You Are!®, Cynthia Brian, for a conversation about goals and resolutions. As a New York Times best selling author, Cynthia offers tips from one of her books, Be the Star You Are!® for Teens on how to set S.M.A.R.T goals. Although the times are challenging at the moment with the Omnicron variant of Covid 19, both ladies are optimistic about the future and encourage others to be positive as well. Most of all, they encourage getting vaccinated and boosted to give yourself, your loved ones, and your community a chance to be healthy. Double mask, avoid crowds, and consider paring down your New Year’s Eve celebrations. Perhaps dress up, play games, watch movies, or just be content to be alive for another year. Rounding out the hour, poet Ruhani shares a few poems she has written over the years that clearly showcase her growth as a very aware woman who is destined to be a leader. Congratulations to all of the present and former hosts and reporters on Express Yourself!. This show is a winner giving youth a voice and a platform. Broadcasting since 2011, twenty-seven young people from around the United States have regularly shared their passions and interests as hosts and reporters on Express Yourself!
