“It’s rough being a teenager in this day and age.” ? Kay Panabaker Express Yourself! examines teen life and a free program for tutoring by teens. Nerd extraordinaire, Keerthi, starts the show with a humorous segment on a journey through teenhood and an accurate biography of teen lives! She announces, “Ladies, gentlemen, and the indescribable enigma that is high school lunchroom mac 'n' cheese—I stand before you today as the humble ambassador of Teenhood, the grand connoisseur of awkward encounters, and the undisputed champion of meme-worthy moments. Yes, my fellow adolescents, we are gathered here in the grand amphitheater of teenage tribulations to celebrate the rollercoaster ride that is our collective teenage existence.” After Keerthi provides an overview of the chaos and amusements of teenage years, she interviews the President of the Georgia chapter of Teens Tutor Teens, Meryl, who expertly explains the importance of free tutoring for teens. Meryl is very well-spoken and a passionate ambassador for the Teens Tutor Teens program. Be the Star You Are!® collaborates with the Georgia chapter. Highly motivated teens provide FREE help for all subjects for kindergarteners through twelfth grade. Hosted by teens and teenage field reporters from around the country, Express Yourself! is THE destination for teens to be heard. Within the walls of the young adult community, listeners are uplifted and encouraged to be the stars of your own life. Through collaboration and conversation, a global campus of young people express their views. Topics include anything that kids talk about-books, music, making a difference, technology, school, art, humor, writing, tough talks, health, sports, films, family, friends, foes, fashion, and fun. Broadcasting since 2011, twenty-seven young people from around the United States have regularly shared their passions and interests as hosts and reporters on Express Yourself! These teens are not afraid of the tough topics and thrill at the opportunity of interviewing a variety of guests including authors, actors, Olympians, scientists, musicians, poets, and experts of varied disciplines.
