“Michael York OBE - A celebration of an Actor’s life” – David Gibbons will be in talking to Michael York about his long and successful career complimented with film extracts chosen by this great actor and writer. The program will chart his journey from the early days at Oxford, his first break in Director Franco Zeffirelli’s “Taming of the Shrew” with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, to current work in films such as Austin Powers and eagerly awaited The Mill and the Cross, with Charlotte Rampling and Rutger Hauer, directed by Lech Majewski. The great actors Sir Laurence Olivier and Sir John Gielgud are also discussed, of whom his inspiration and styles were developed at the beginning of this wonderful acting career.
