Cordially invite you to the Desert Winds an Evening of Jazz gala event to be held on Saturday, May 14th, 6pm at the beautiful Musical Instrument Museum (MIM). The forth coming gala will benefit the Illinois Jacquet Foundation and Ear Candy for the musical interest of today's youth! Entertainment includes locals Ms Sherry Petta, Ms Margo Reed, Mr. Dennis Rowland, the Savoy Hop Cat Dancers, a special performance by ASU Jazz standout Mr. Jeremy Lappitt and also included is a MIM private section tour for all guests. On the program is a special dedication ceremony that will include the daughter of Illinois Jacquet presenting MIM with one of her father's famous saxophones, and other special items that exemplify the jazz musician's private collection. Michelle’s background includes 15 –years in Radio, Television, Public Relations, production, sales, marketing and events giving her a systemic understanding of the most effective ways in which the Media can be leveraged.
Michelle has been a successful Executive Producer and talk show personality for over a decade. She has created, developed and produced over 150 talk radio programs for AM & FM stations nationally. She has worked for CBS, ESPN, TNT, PAC 10 Football, FOX Sports, The Golf Channel and NBC’s Unsolved Mysteries. She is respected as one of the most well-connected professionals in the Media, and operates with a high level of integrity, professionalism and commitment.
Michelle graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communications with a B.S. in Broadcasting, and emphasis in Television & Film production.
Michelle’s philanthropic passions are expressed through her company Chicks4Change - a charity support group committed to making a difference by serving the community and dedicated to education, awareness and prevention. She has donated countless hours to both local and national non-profit organizations through her fundraising events and as a 7-time marathoner. She’s also a Top National Fundraiser for Childhelp USA and the American Stroke Association's Train to End Stroke program. Michelle is a Triple Virgo, has lived in the Phoenix area for almost 20 years, currently residing in Scottsdale, Arizona.
