June 5, 2012
Hosted by Rob Haupt
In this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio Dr. Frea examines the most important aspect of an autism therapy program: The parent as a teacher. Over the past two episodes of Autism Spectrum Radio we’ve taken a broad look at autism from a parental perspective. In this final episode in our focus on the parents we look at training the most important teacher in a child with autism’s life, their parent. The knowledge and understanding parents have of their child’s therapy program can often times be the determining factor between success and failure. In this episode we look forward to discussing some of the most effective strategies to achieving success, and techniques to avoid failure. Dr. Frea is also happy to welcome Dr. Daniel Openden to the show. Dr. Openden has an extensive background in therapies for autism spectrum disorders & has worked with countless families to help them get the most out of their therapy programs. Be sure to catch this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio, Tuesday, June 5th at 11 AM.
