Mike Adams

Mike began his mission as the Health Ranger as a response to his own failing health. At 30, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, brought on by poor diet and severe lack of exercise. As a high-powered software executive, extreme levels of stress, cholesterol, depression and back pain were common features of Mike's past. Searching for answers to his health woes, Mike dove into research; he devoured thousands of books on nutrition, pharmaceutical drugs, wellness programs, the politics of food - anything he could find. Mike has made it his life mission to share the most remarkable discovery he has made: the vast majority of all diseases can be prevented and cured without drugs or surgery. And that’s exactly what Mike did. He cured himself of diabetes in a matter of months and transformed himself into the picture of perfect health in mind, body and spirit. When Mike first discovered the life-changing information about health, he thought few people would believe what he was telling them. To be believed, he first had to prove that his own ideas about health were valid. So Mike decided to put them to the test by transforming his physical body into the healthiest patient any doctor had seen. View Guest page

Dr. Apsley has spent a life time documenting how this decay occurs due to (A) severe soil mineral deficiencies and (B) global pollution. For example, according to the National Cancer Institute, up to 90% of cancer is caused by the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. The long-term solution is to remineralize our soils with micronized full-spectrum healthy minerals, remove pollutants from our food chain, while on the short term we re-ignite regenerative healing forces in our body with select bioenergetic devices while living a regenerative lifestyle. She understands the expansive power of love and is devoted to helping individuals empower themselves through knowledge, wisdom and personal choice. Discovering the ability to listen to one's own body as well as gaining access to individual intuition, is what she believes, ultimately, can create amazing healing effects within the body and the spirit. After having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002, Cori Brackett found herself falling into a deep pit of doctor's appointments and medications, while continuing to get worse. Eventually, she found herself in a wheelchair with double vision and slurred speech. Slowly, she learned to maintain the balancing act between pushing herself to get better and having the patience to accept her then-current limitations. Hungry for knowledge and a clue to her symptoms, she stumbled upon some information linking aspartame to MS-like symptoms. As she had been a fairly heavy consumer of aspartame and aspartame-containing products (an average of a six-pack/day of diet soda for twenty years) she thought there might be something to this and proceeded to investigate. What resulted from her investigation was the searing and heart-stopping documentary, Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World, its sequel, Sweet Remedy: The World Reacts and her multi-media memoir, Through the Shadows. Today, she lives a happy, healthy and authentic life and enjoys speaking to groups around the country and shares her knowledge through guests on her regular radio show who can help you envision a better world, as well as providing the tools need to discover that better life. Helke Ferrie

Medical journalist Helke Ferrie exposes the FDA’s war on vitamins and supplements. Helke Ferrie’s education includes prehistoric, ancient Near Eastern and Greek archaeology, Chinese and Buddhist studies, and a master’s degree in physical anthropology. When Helke became seriously ill in the mid-1990’s with Myasthenia gravis, she learned that standard medicine is not concerned with causation which, in her case, turned out to be mercury amalgam dental fillings and many years’ exposure to DDT while growing up in India. Nor did standard medicine offer her anything beyond symptom control with steroids and other carcinogenic immuno-suppressant drugs, all of which accelerate osteoporosis, leaving her with no meaningful choice between treatment and the disease. When Helke was ill, a brief telephone conversation with internationally renowned toxicologist Dr. Boyd Haley of the University of Kentucky gave her hope of recovery. His information was grounded in sound, verifiable science and precipitated an epiphany for her: that the concept of an “idiopathic” disease (i.e. of no known cause) and incurable is the stuff of illusion, of nightmares, from which we can awake. Foster Gamble - President & Co-Founder of Clear Compass Media; Creator, Host, Co-Writer, and Director of Visual Design for THRIVE At age 14, Foster Gamble had a vision where he glimpsed what he perceived to be the Universe’s fundamental energy pattern. He spent the next 35 years trying to figure out the details and implications of what he had seen. That quest took two paths: a scientific journey and an exploration of the human potential to navigate successfully through the challenges threatening our survival. THRIVE represents the convergence of these two paths. While at Princeton University, Foster helped to create their first film-making department. At the time, the emergence of a global media delivery system seemed likely, and Foster’s love of film combined with his concern for the planet inspired him to focus on what would be the most critical content to one day deliver through that system. In his search for a way out of our violence and demise, Foster discovered Aikido – the non-violent martial art – which proved for him the possibility of being simultaneously powerful and gentle. He earned a third degree black belt and trained in and taught Aikido for 15 years. Applying Aikido principles to daily life informed Foster’s professional career: He created a training and technology company, MindCenter, that employed brainwave biofeedback to help people learn how to manage stress and to tune their consciousness. He also created Interaction Dynamics, a training program for mastering skills in communication, team-building and conflict resolution for couples, business teams, schools and families across the United States. He combined Aikido energy principles and mind fitness techniques in Zonesport Training, which tapped his passion for sports in helping high level athletes to enhance their performance. Addressing the demands of balancing his own personal, family and professional lives led Foster to create a program called LifeBalance. Furthering his exploration of what was keeping humanity from thriving, Foster spent nearly a decade “following the money” in every sector of human endeavor. The process revealed an understanding of our predicament that led him to create the strategic solutions offered in THRIVE. Foster’s exploration of “living geometry” – how nature builds the “material” world, came to fruition in 1997 when he co-convened the Sequoia Symposium, a multi-disciplinary scientific think tank exploring perspectives on “Unification Theory.” There, the primary patterning that the universe uses to sustain healthy systems was clarified and cohered, as was its use as a blueprint for us to design sustainable, all-inclusive technologies and social systems. This discovery represents the convergence of science and the evolution of consciousness that Foster set out to explore after his initial vision, and is the “code” that is featured in the documentary film, THRIVE, and on this website. Foster lives in Santa Cruz, California with his wife Kimberly Carter Gamble. View Guest page

Kimberly Carter Gamble

Kimberly Carter Gamble - Former CEO, Co-Founder and Advisor for Clear Compass Media; Producer, Director, and Co-Writer of THRIVE Kimberly Carter Gamble brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to Clear Compass Media, and creating the movie THRIVE called upon it all: as a former journalist, including for Newsweek International; a producer of large projects and events; a lifelong activist for social justice and as a mother and step mother to nine children. When asked about THRIVE, Kimberly says “Having the courage to risk stepping out of what David Icke calls the “hassle-free zone” is the quality I am most proud to have mustered in this life, and it felt great to infuse the clarity and compassion that come from that process into the story – and production – of THRIVE.” One especially encouraging insight that emerged in the course of making THRIVE was that the most informed people are consistently the most hopeful, because once the nature of the problem is clear, so are the solutions. Kimberly is committed to using her privilege to empower these bold and leveraged solutions. View Guest page

Clint Ober

Clint Ober … Earthing Howard Straus’ guest Jan. 23, 2012 on The Power of Natural Healing. Clint Ober, a pioneer in the communications and cable television industry, discovered by chance in 1998 that being in direct physical bare skin contact with the Earth is important for health. He knew from his background that connection with the Earth is the essential stabilizing factor for communication and cable systems. All such systems are grounded, that is, connected to Earth’s stabilizing surface energy via a ground rod. Since 1998, Clint has relentlessly pursued scientific research and produced a dozen studies showing that Earthing or grounding — as he often calls it — has a profound and positive impact on human physiology and health. He also developed simple and convenient Earthing systems that allow people to ground themselves when inside their homes and offices and reap the benefits, such as less pain, better sleep, and more energy. Mr. Ober has documented his amazing discovery and pursuit of scientific validation of the profound health benefits of Earthing in the award winning book, Earthing:The Most Important Health Discovery Ever? (Basic Health Publications, 2010), co-authored with cardiologist Stephen Sinatra and health writer Martin Zucker. The book “Earthing” received the prestigious Nautilus Award shortly after being published and was named Book of the Month in April 2011 by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
