Is Your 401K OK?
March 4, 2014
Hosted by Peter Weitz
On July 16, 2012, the rules governing every 401(k) and every private pension plan in the United States changed. The primary service providers to these plans – trustees, advisors, investment managers, record keepers and other fiduciaries – must provide new fee disclosures to their plan clients, or else their contracts will no longer be “reasonable” arrangements exempted from ERISA’s prohibited transaction rules. Moreover, the government is watching. Listen to today’s program to learn about how you can protect yourself and your company from an audit and further learn from our guest John Starr ways in which you can create a partnership between a 401(K) plan’s advisor and the plan recordkeeper and administrator where the providers assume fiduciary responsibility for both investment and administrative liability away from the corporation and their internal Trustee. Tune in Tuesday at 10AM to listen to this hotly contested topic
