Encore Presentation - A Conversation with Alan Friedman
May 30, 2014
Hosted by Carol Bossert
A light dims, but a star shines. Alan J. Friedman, the soft spoken physicist who reinvigorated the New York Hall of Science and helped usher in a new way to think about museums died on May 4, 2014. He was my friend and colleague. He was also one of the greatest thinkers in our field. I was fortunate to have interviewed him for Museum Life in December about trends both positive and negative that he was noticing in the science centers. So to honor his memory and to remind us that great thoughts never die, I am re-airing that wonderful conversation.
