Leaving a Legacy: From Amoebas to Zebras
May 19, 2014
Hosted by Patricia Raskin
Tune in when Patricia interviews Norma Segal, author of From Amoebas to Zebras: The Animal Zoo of Limericks. Before her husband, Sidney's, death from a brain tumor, she promised she would publish his children's book of educational, animal-themed limericks. After 15 years and her own bouts with cancer, she held on to the pages of limericks and spent a year working with an illustrator to get the book published. The paperback book features an array of animals and includes a removable book mark and audio cd. Pages in the back encourage young readers to share their favorite limericks.
