It is time to talk about Leo! Beginning with today’s show, each month our show topics will align with the current Sun Sign. Center stage this month is the bigger-than-life sign of Leo. In this first episode, Janey and Mary Jo introduce us to the exuberant fixed fire sign of Leo, its traits, characteristics and archetypes. We hear about its planetary ruler the Sun, and the House associated with Leo in the astrological chart. Mary Jo and Janey discuss a public figure in the spotlight recently who exemplifies traits and behaviors of the Leo archetype. And then we look at Janey and Mary Jo’s composite chart to see how the energy of Leo plays out in their collaborative partnership. The following four episodes for the month will feature special guests talking about topics that pertain to the sign of Leo: Sun Sign Astrology, Leadership, the Ego, and the Inner Child. Janey McCarthy, MEd, left her technology career behind to become a Jungian Karmic Astrologer after discovering what Carl Jung had confirmed: The natal chart is a sacred, geometrically perfected personal database. Professional recognition as an astrologer and writer came when the website Planetwaves.net chose her article ‘The Silence Between the Words’, from 500 submissions, for the 2014 Annual Edition of Listen. She offers workshops and presentations, and counsels her astrology mentors, peers and clients from the east coast.
Mary Jo Wevers, PhD “re-discovered” astrology late in life, and found it came to her intuitively and easily. An enthusiastic and inspired astrologer for 15 years, she counsels clients, teaches classes and gives workshops and seminars on special topics in astrology. She writes a newsletter and has a blog on her web site, MaryJoWevers.com. She is a featured speaker at local metaphysical schools and churches and has been a conversation leader in the Northwest Astrology and Tarot Salon.
As co-hosts we live on different sides of the country, have different backgrounds, life experiences and life styles. We each bring unique intellectual perspectives to the show. We are ‘Aquarian sisters’ at heart. We catalyze each other’s insights and individual curiosities.
