This show features three respected leaders in Canadian business and philanthropy who are, also, key leaders in the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. These three are quality leaders and my friends; Donna Hastings, Rod McKay and Art Korpach. The Heart and Stroke Foundation has recently progressed through a complete reorganization that has been very challenging and successful. Too often, the first thing leaders do is call a meeting. In my 10 Steps, Come Together is the sixth step not the first. Before meeting, we enhance our probability of success by first setting intention, then 2 be aware, then 3 embrace conflict then 4 seek diversity then 5 design the collaboration and then, and only then, come together. #6 of 10 steps. Use this process. Key Messages 1) Create the right mind and physical space when you come together, 2) Commit yourself to organizations like Heart and Stroke, build your network, learn much more about leadership, 3) Every organization must continually evolve.
