The Gift of Art
January 24, 2017
Hosted by The Express Yourself! STAR On-Air Teen Team
“The world is but a canvas to our imagination..” Henry David Thoreau What is art? Why do we utilize art to express ourselves? What are careers in art? What is creativity? Can art be healing? Is art stress-relieving? Hosts Brigitte Jia and Asya Gonzalez, both artists, dig into their favorite subject as they share personal experiences and talk with reporters Henna Hundal and Katie Choo. Art is a powerful outlet to release anxiety and promote relaxation that can have untold health benefits. Art is a potent tool for finding, shaping, and sharing an identity. Art is fueled by our creative intellectual juices and interpretations of life. Whether you do art for a career or for a hobby, art is good for the soul. Start doodling!
