Candace Chellew-Hodge
Candace Chellew-Hodge calls herself a recovering Southern Baptist and is the founder/editor of “Whosoever: An Online Magazine for GLBT Christians.” Her first book, Bulletproof Faith: A Spiritual Survival Guide for Gay and Lesbian Christians, published by Jossey-Bass, assists members of the GLBT population in surviving the onslaught of both covert and overt abuse, by teaching them how to reclaim their authenticity and practice certain spiritual survival exercises. She is an award-winning former television and radio journalist, having served as a writer, reporter, and editor with CNN. Currently, she serves as the pastor of Jubilee! Circle, a new church start of the United Church of Christ in Columbia, South Carolina. She blogs regularly at Religion Dispatches.
