Amber Karlins

Amber Karlins, author of My Year of Living Fearlessly, is a summa cum laude graduate of the honors college at the University of South Florida with a BA in psychology and a minor in English Literature. She also has a master’s degree from Tufts University. In addition to her work as a writer, Karlins also works as an instructor at the Patel Conservatory and is an accomplished actress and director. In an effort to regain her spirit of adventure and remove the limitations she had allowed fear and insecurity to place on her life, she decided to spend an entire year facing the things that scare and intimidate her most. Over the course of fifty-two weeks, she placed herself in fifty-two anxiety-riddled situations, including a stand-up comedy competition, a fire-eating lesson, an up-close and personal alligator encounter, and an evening spent alone in a haunted hotel. The result is a book, My Year of Living Fearlessly with hilarious misadventures, heart palpitations and triumphs. Website: http://myyearoflivingfearlessly.com/
