TAYLOR MALI
"TAYLOR MALI was a classroom teacher for nine years, teaching subjects ranging from English and history to math and SAT test preparation. A magnetic, charismatic speaker as well as a compelling writer, he has been called "a ranting comic showman and literary provocateur" by THE NEW YORK TIMES. He travels around the U.S. and the world teaching poetry, giving workshops for teachers, and speaking at education conferences. A renowned slam poet and a former president of Poetry Slam Incorporated, he is the author of two books of poetry (THE LAST TIME AS WE ARE AND WHAT LEARNING LEAVES) and four CDs of spoken work. He is a native of New York City, where he currently lives with his wife, Marie-Elizabeth Mali."
