Ruth LovettSmith
Ruth LovettSmith is a writer, artist, and designer with a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art. She is the Founder of the popular food allergy information and social networking community Best Allergy Sites. Ruth founded Best Allergy Sites after becoming frustrated at the lack of a central place to gain insight, information, and knowledge about allergies. As the mother of a child with multiple life threatening food allergies, Ruth quickly realized how difficult it was to find appropriate and safe products, information, as well as support. Since the launch of Best Allergy Sites in 2009, Ruth has been featured in numerous articles. She is an advocate for and within the food allergy community and volunteers regularly as a member of the board with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of American New England Chapter. Ruth currently lives in a quaint Massachusetts town with her family. When she’s not working on Best Allergy Sites, she’s either blogging about or working on numerous DIY projects.
