Mike Tristano
I recently met an armorer, a fascinating guy who has a critical role in movies and in television. Mike is currently working on the new television series, “Stars Earn Stripes”, In fact, Mike Tristano is a legendary figure in industry. Mike is a former private sector special Ops advisor and he specializes in providing weaponry, special effects and militaria for the film industry. I love his business card, it simply says Mike Tristano, the gun guy. Mike is the only true non-union supplier of movie weaponry and armourer services, historical and military props and make up effects for films and the major studios. After a shadowy career in military intelligence Mike entered the movie business and has probably trained and worked on the set with over half the actors and actresses in Hollywood. He was also personal security consultant to Senator Al Gore when he ran for election.
