Dennis Coates
Dr. Dennis Coates has passionately studied the brain for 25 years – how it develops and how it learns. He has created an online system, called “Strong for Parenting,” which helps parents avoid conflict and failed communication with their teen. A similar system, called “Strong for Success,” helps teens and young adults develop themselves for the next phase of their lives—whether college or a career—ready to be a strong contributor. This led him to write two story-based books of advice for young teens: Conversations with the Wise Uncle (for boys) and Conversations with the Wise Aunt (for girls). Dr. Dennis Coates offers advice in his blog How to Raise a Teenager, and he recently published an eBook for parents, How to Give Your Teen a Superior Mind, which is available free on his website StrongForParenting.com.
