Mihirangi is of Ngāti Rākeiora, Ngāti Waikorara, Ngāti Rāhiri and Ngāti Pākehā descent. Shining with the power of a woman connected to her roots, Mihirangi is a fearless and authentic performer and artist. The magic of her art is her intimate connection with her listeners and audience and her ability to lift people’s lives through her music and stories, her infectious laughter and open presence. Mihirangi’s music has captured and mesmerized audiences both nationally and internationally. Currently based in New Plymouth, in the Taranaki region of Aotearoa – New Zealand, Mihirangi loves to share her ancestral lineage worldwide. It has been said that watching Mihirangi perform is akin to watching alchemy; she literally turns what seems like nothing into gold.
