The Six Degree Project

The Six Degree Project

The Six Degree Project was developed by passionate students at Northern Secondary School in Toronto, a grassroots initiative dedicated to creating social change in their Northern community and beyond. The project is spearheaded collaboratively by autistic Northern student and autism advocate Carly Fleischmann, and students Emily Albert and Mia Kibel. The endeavor is affiliated with Autism Speaks Canada. The campaign is a student driven mission committed to improving the lives of children and youth with autism around the world, by generating meaningful awareness and knowledge. It works off the basis that we are all connected to each other through 6° of separation. The goal of the project is to get people blogging, tweeting and using social media to talk about Autism, with the end result of connecting with 12+ celebrities who will do the same. By having community members and their networks connect to these celebrities, it will allow them to make a greater impact around the world.
