Peggy Baker
Peggy Baker is the Founder/President of Operation First Response, Inc. (OFR) which was founded in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2004. Becoming a Military Mom after 9-11 is the driving force behind her passion. Enabling the profound sacrifices made by our Military to be forefront in the mission of OFR. OFR is a nationwide 501 c3 nonprofit that serves our nation’s Wounded Heroes/ Disabled Veterans and their families with emergency financial needs. Services are provided from the onset of injury, throughout their recovery period and along their journey from military life into the civilian world. Financial aid varies as each case is based on individual needs ranging from rent, utilities, vehicle payments, groceries, clothing, and travel expenses. The organization has served over 9,500 families with emergency needs and continues to grow and expand with the ever increasing needs of the military families of our wounded, injured and critically ill.
