Fred Patrick

Fred Patrick directs Pathways from Prison to Postsecondary Education at the Vera Institute of Justice which assists selected states in demonstrating that postsecondary education, with supportive reentry services, can reduce recidivism, and increase employability. Previously, Fred served as Deputy Commissioner for Programs at the NYC Department of Correction, NYPD Deputy Commissioner for Community Affairs and taught at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He has degrees from Princeton University, MPA and Tuskegee University, BS.
