Jim Oschman has degrees in Biophysics and Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, and worked at universities including: Cambridge, Case-Western, Northwestern, and University of Copenhagen. As a successful cell biologist, Jim became fascinated with complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) when CAM was regarded with great skepticism. To learn CAM theories/practices, Jim has attended and taught classes and experienced many techniques. Jim is widely published and lectures widely on the energetic phenomena taking place therapeutically. Jim’s many scientific insights help therapists from every tradition understand and advance their work to explain it scientifically. In addition to many science articles, Jim wrote Energy Medicine: the scientific basis and Energy Medicine in Therapeutics and Human Performance. Jim was recognized with significant awards in CAM. Jim founded Nature’s Own Research Association to study how the living world interacts with the body’s innate healing systems.
