R. Dale Lillard

R. Dale Lillard graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BSEE in 1972. He joined Motorola Semiconductor in Phoenix Arizona where he worked as a product manager in power transistors until 1980 when he joined Lansdale Semiconductor Inc. As an antique car collector, he recognized the need in the semiconductor marketplace for a company to support old integrated circuits like the automotive aftermarket industry supports old car parts for antique cars. Dale transformed the company making germanium transistors to a semiconductor aftermarket company to making integrated circuits using tooling, processes and test programs licensed from the manufacturers who discontinued the IC’s like Motorola, Intel and Philips. The primary markets for his company are military weapon systems and long life commercial systems such as controls for power plants and communications. Lansdale Semiconductor Inc will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2014.
