Bud Brian is the founder and original owner of Budco, a marketing services company located in Detroit. He started the organization in 1982 when he purchased D.W. Hacker Co., a small printing and distribution company. At the time, the company employed 15 people and had gross sales of $800,000. Under Bud’s leadership, Budco grew into a $100 million operation with nearly 1,000 employees serving a wide variety of globally recognized brands. He created a unique and customer-focused corporate culture, which became one of the company’s differential advantages. Bud’s entrepreneurial spirit and desire to provide greater employment opportunities to the local community pushed him to take the leap and establish Budco, and then to leave retirement and purchase Budco Financial Services.
