Ron B. Minson, M.D.

Ron B. Minson, M.D. (UCLA) is board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology. His experience includes serving as a family physician, clinical psychiatrist, Chief of Psychiatry for Presbyterian Medical Center, and Dir. of Behavioral Sciences at Mercy Hospital in Denver. In 1990, Dr. Minson learned of the effectiveness of sound therapy after witnessing the successful turnaround of his own daughter with severe dyslexia and depression. He studied a number of sound therapy techniques before training professionals as early as 2001. In 2005, he co-founded Sensory Therapies and Research Center, with Kate O’Brien Minson and Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, OTR. Dr. Minson is the Clinical Dir. for Integrated Listening Systems, a company which combines an auditory program with visual and movement exercises. As one of the leading authorities on the clinical application of sound, Dr Minson writes and presents to medical and educational audiences exploring the new field of brain fitness.
