Ciara Torres-Spelliscy
Ciara Torres-Spelliscy is an assistant professor, teaching Election Law, Corporate Governance, and Constitutional Law at Stetson University College of Law, following a stint as Counsel in the Democracy Program of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. She was an associate at Arnold & Porter LLP & a staffer for Sen. Richard Durbin. She has testified before Congress and helped draft legislation & Supreme Court briefs. She has been published and quoted in a several law and public policy reviews, as well as in the international/national business press, television and electronic media. She is on the 2013 Lawyer of Color's "50 Under 50" list of minority law professors making an impact in legal education. She is a Brennan Center Fellow and a member of the Bd of Directors of the National Institute on Money in State Politics. A graduate of Harvard (AB) and Columbia Law School (JD), in 2014, she received Stetson’s Dickerson-Brown Award for Excellence in Faculty Scholarship.
