Julie is a mom and wife, with a passion for healthy food and cooking. She is not a doctor, dietician or nutritionist. She is simply a mom who started to pay attention to what she was feeding her family. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and firmly believes much of our emotional well-being is a direct reflection of what we put into our bodies. Pre-packaged processed foods are convenient, but cooking from scratch using fresh, unprocessed ingredients is an absolute must to maintain health. There is a lot of trickery going on in the food industry which makes it very difficult to make healthy choices. She started her blog because she felt a moral obligation to share this information with as many people as possible. She likes to use minimal, basic ingredients and she shares recipes and strategies for incorporating these recipes into daily life. Her goal is to inspire a love and appreciation of real food!
