Matthew T. Lambert
Vice president for university advancement at the College of William & Mary, Matthew T. Lambert most recently authored "Privatization and the Public Good: Public Universities in the Balance" (Harvard Education Press, 2014). An examination of the history and future of privatization in higher education, Dr. Lambert focuses on elected officials and their views towards higher education in an extensive study which helps explain the future of the public-private model.
Above all, the book focuses on the essential question of whether higher education is a public good or a private benefit. A graduate of the same institution at which he now teaches higher education public policy and finance and oversees alumni engagement, private fundraising and philanthropic outreach, Lambert’s research seeks to better understand the changing landscape of American higher education.
