Joan Steidinger, Ph.D.



Joan Steidinger, Ph.D., is a Certified Consultant through the Association of Applied Sports Psychology and on the United States Olympic Committee’s Sport Psychology Registry. She has written columns for PsychologyToday.com and SFGate.com. A sports psychologist for more than 25 years, she has been in private practice for over 30 years in Mill Valley and San Francisco. In the 1990s, Joan was a competitive ultrarunner and Ride and Tie participant. She still enjoys running the trails of Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, California where she lives with her husband, JP, and two goldie dogs, Spencer and Parker.
