Lili is a cooperative pioneer, economist and researcher passionate about the cooperative philosophy. She began her career by organizing grassroots cooperatives that leveraged microfinance models to transform the market power of agricultural entrepreneurs in rural Moldova, following the collapse of the Soviet Union. In her current endeavors Lili works in partnership with stakeholders from over 100 countries including credit union associations, regulators, educators, and public outreach on initiatives that are enabling industry leaders to navigate a variety of challenges and more effectively compete in the wake of the global banking and financial crisis. Lili manages World Council’s annual educational program for young professionals and is the co-author of “International Lessons for Young Adult Membership Growth”. Lili lives with her husband Doug and two children in Madison, Wisconsin.
