Amani Toomer

This New York Giants fan favorite earned his stripes as a Wide Receiver for the Michigan Wolverines. Amani became only the 3rd player in school's history to record 1,000 yards receiving in a season. He was later drafted by the New York Football Giants in 1996, where he cut his teeth as a contributor on the punt and kick return units. After biding his time as reserve, Amani made his presence felt in 1999 when he set a team record of 79 receptions at the time. Amani later went on to break several Giants records including that of Frank Gifford as the team's all-time leading receiving yardage leader. Toomer's hard work eventually paid off with defeat of then undefeated New England Patriot's, where he led the Giants with six receptions and 84 yards
