Mark Rein
Mark is an avid 51-year old CrossFit enthusiast, husband and father of four. Professionally Mark is a Group Account Director at Acquity Group, part of Accenture Interactive. On August 6, 2010 Mark’s life changed drastically while driving home from work when a man intentionally drove his car head on into Mark’s car in a suicide attempt. Mark sustained a traumatic brain injury, broken neck, ribs, pelvis and tibia. Mark was in a coma for a week and faced amputation of his right leg three times. Mark has fully recovered and has since produced record sales at Acquity Group and will participate in his third consecutive CrossFit Open this February. Expert medical care was critical to Mark’s recovery but equally important were investments Mark made years earlier in a healthy marital relationship, a healthy lifestyle, and complete forgiveness for the man causing the accident.
