Dr. Sharon Walker
Dr. Sharon Walker is an applied sociologist. Sociology is the "umbrella" for her unique perspective on the topic at hand. She brings her experience from her work in industry, academia, health care and private consulting to her approach to teaching. Currently Dr. Walker is teaching at IVY Tech College in Indiana and introducing students to the concept of recognizing conflict on a personal level. Her courses include sociology, economics and critical thinking. She has previously taught at UT-Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas, the School of Public Health at the Health Sciences Center, University of North Texas in Fort Worth and the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Dr. Walker’s degrees cover a diversity of interests, including nursing, vocational rehabilitation, public health, conflict resolution, economics and sociology.
