Annette Simmons

Annette Simmons

Annette believes in helping businesses, marketers, and institutions of every stripe uncover their truth, and tell it. She has pursued this goal for two decades, working with leadership teams across the world—as diverse as those from the Pentagon, the Brookings Institute, and Microsoft, Best Buy and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Her first two books focused on uncovering truth within organisations. A Safe Place for Dangerous Truth (1998), and Territorial Games: Understanding and Ending Turf Wars at Work (1997) showed how to reveal hidden agendas, unproductive internal "stories," and how to better manage group dynamics so teams thrive and flourish by resolving small stories with a more meaningful bigger story .

This experience taught her the emotional power of telling your story; the clarity and power a story brings to messages of every kind. Her groundbreaking book The Story Factor (2001), was named by 1-800-CEO-Read as as one of The 100 Best Business Books of All Time (2009, Penguin), and her books have been translated into 11 languages. In 2015, she continues to deliver keynotes, consulting and training to help individuals and organizations tell true stories that win both hearts and minds.
